For those
applications that require a camera capable of capturing
images using the "invisible" light spectrum,
Sony's new XCD-SX910UV near ultraviolet, high resolution,
digital video camera is the answer. The XCD-SX910UV
camera is equipped with all the new functionality found
in Sony's new XCD-SX910 camera PLUS a new CCD with improved
sensitivity (~200nm versus ~230nm) compared to the XCD-SX900UV
camera. The new XCD-SX910UV is a black and white C-mount
camera that has sensitivity in the near-UV area (200
to 380 nm). Incorporating a 1/2 type IT Progressive
Scan UV CCD, the XCD-SX910UV captures clear images of
minute surface details when used with UV illumination
systems. Like Sony's XC-EI camera series, the XCD-SX910UV
has a broad spectral response and can be easily combined
with different filters for specific applications (e.g.,
UV only pass filter for UV imaging applications).
Inheriting all the excellent features
of the XCD-SX910, this new UV digital camera has an
IEEE 1394 digital interface, producing new levels of
precise and detailed images. In addition, its one-piece
design with high shock and vibration tolerance makes
the XCD-SX910UV ideal for use in demanding semiconductor
inspection, ultraviolet microscopy, FA precision inspection
and surface inspection applications.
